Is Parent Participation required?

Yes, our school community depends on parents to join us at workdays or schedule ones that fit your schedule. Our workdays are seasonal and offer families time to work together with their children alongside.

How are our early childhood programs unique?

By marrying the Waldorf and RIE  (Resources for Infant Educarers ) methods together we create a space where children can grow organically. Through daily life experience as the “curriculum’ through which your child experiences healthy life rhythms and routines. Some examples developed by Cynthia Aldinger of Lifeways North America are:

Nurturing Arts—Your child will be nourished with natural foods, hair brushing, calming footbaths, daily outdoor time, and rest for full-day children.

Social Arts—Mixed-age groupings foster a secure relationship with the primary caregiver over time and provide the opportunity to be both a younger and older “sibling.”

Creative Arts—Imaginative play is enriched by story telling, artistic activities, crafts, music and singing.

Domestic Arts—Children find joy in the practical and meaningful activities of daily life, laying a foundation for future academic skills, initiative and purpose.

By allowing children’s development to unfold naturally their own eagerness to learn the academia comes effortlessly. For more information about Waldorf
